Here are some simple steps to configure your own web server:

INSTALL WORDPRESS

sudo mkdir -p /var/www/html/mywebsite
cd /var/www/html/mywebsite
sudo wget http://wordpress.org/latest.tar.gz
tar --strip-components=1 -xvf latest.tar.gz
rm latest.tar.gz
sudo chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/html/mywebsite
sudo chmod -R 755 /var/www/html/website

KILL THE FIREWALL

sudo iptables -F
sudo iptables -X
sudo iptables -t nat -F
sudo iptables -t nat -X
sudo iptables -t mangle -F
sudo iptables -t mangle -X
sudo iptables -P INPUT ACCEPT
sudo iptables -P OUTPUT ACCEPT
sudo iptables -P FORWARD ACCEPT

CHECK YOUR WEB SERVER STATUS

/etc/init.d/nginx status
sudo nginx -t
/etc/init.d/php5-fpm status
ls -la /var/run/php5-fpm.sock
sudo cat /var/log/php5-fpm.log
cat /var/log/nginx/access.log
cat /var/log/nginx/error.log

UPLOAD MAX FILE SIZE CONFIG FOR PHP and NGINX

/etc/php5/fpm/php.ini
   --> upload_max_filesize = 256M
   --> post_max_size = 256M

sudo nano /etc/nginx/nginx.conf
   http {
    ......
    client_max_body_size 200M;
    ......
   }

/etc/nginx/sites-available/default
   server {
    .....
    client_max_body_size 256M;
    ......
   }

sudo service php5-fpm reload
sudo service nginx reload

UNINSTALL YOUR WEBSERVER

sudo apt-get purge nginx nginx-common php5-fpm php5-curl php5-gd php5-cli php5-mcrypt php5-mysql php-apc mysql-server
sudo apt-get autoremove
